We know how expensive weddings can be.
It can be especially daunting when your favourite Pinterest photos boast flowers and decor that cost as much as a house.
So, how to navigate this? How do you ensure that your wedding looks beautiful but doesn’t require a mortgage contract? Well, after 13 years in business, we’ve got some ideas for you. Here are our Top 3 Money-Saving tips:
1. Mind your guest list: This is the detail that will have the biggest impact on your bottom line. The size of your guest list impacts more than just your food budget. Your guest count will influence all of the following: centrepieces, table numbers, table linens, napkins, charger plates, place cards, menu cards, etc. On average, you can expect to spend between $50 to $250 per guest for flowers and decor.
2. Focus on impact: Rather than trying to spread your flower/decor budget evenly across your entire wedding, plan a focal area that will pack a punch. Your guests may not remember the small details spread around the room, but they’ll definitely remember the champagne wall, the ceiling installation, or the unique interactive seating chart. We’ll share some more ideas for focal areas in a future email.
3. Maximize your ceremony decor: It’s easy to neglect the ceremony space in favour of the reception where you and your guests will be spending the most time. However, there are ways to stretch your decor by reusing your ceremony items at the reception. Aisle arrangements can double as centrepieces, altar arrangements can double as entrance or head table decor, welcome signage can be moved to the reception, etc.
